Adam Harding is an Emmy® Award-winning general assignment reporter for NBC 4 New York, appearing weekdays and weekends at 6pm and 11pm. He joined NBC’s flagship station in March 2020, coinciding with the start of the Tri-State’s coronavirus outbreak.
Harding was a key component of NBC 4 New York’s award-winning COVID-19 coverage, honored in January, 2021 with the prestigious Alfred I. duPont-Columbia University Award for “creat(ing) a 360 view in real time of the coronavirus pandemic, with courageous and thorough reporting on the virus’s explosion in New York City.” The duPont has long been recognized as the broadcast, documentary and on-line equivalent of the Pulitzer Prize, also awarded by Columbia University.
Prior to his arrival in New York, Harding was a reporter for WGCL-TV/CBS46 in Atlanta. During his five years at WGCL, he covered many of the region’s biggest stories including the 2016 Presidential election, the 2017 highway collapse of I-285 in Atlanta, the 2018 Gubernatorial election between Stacey Abrams and Brian Kemp, and Super Bowl LIII in 2019.
Harding has worked as a reporter in Washington State, New Hampshire and in his hometown of Boston, where covered the 2013 terrorist attacks at the Boston Marathon for WHDH-TV.
A graduate of Emerson College, Harding is married and lives in New York.
